A licensed psychologist since 1983, I received a masters (counseling) in 1974 and returned to graduate school and received a doctorate (counseling/psychology) in 1982 from the University of Cincinnati. I have provided psychotherapy and consultation with adults and adolescents since 1974. Focusing on treating individuals, couples, families and groups during this time, I began my career working with addicts and their families at both St. Francis Hospital and The Christ Hospital.
After 6 years I was offered the opportunity to develop an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for Procter and Gamble, General Electric and Kroger. This came at a time while I was finishing my degree and was about to join a large behavioral health practice. During my time at Behavioral Science Center, Inc. (BSCI) I continued to develop counseling and consulting skills. After 15 years, I departed BSCI and founded Associates in Behavioral Care in 1997.
My goal continues to be to provide the highest quality and most caring treatment available. In my private practice, I continue to develop resources to help people overcome crises and chronic difficulties in my areas of expertise.
I continue to treat individuals, couples, families and groups using cognitive behavioral techniques, didactic & motivational strategies, decision making tools, and supportive insight oriented interventions.
In addition to my clinical practice, in 2008 I formed adolescent substance abuse programs, inc. (asap) to provide adolescents and their families a series of treatment options including an Intensive Outpatient Program to help stop the devastation caused by chemical dependency.
