We work together in a collaborative, mutually respectful way to assess the issues that brought you to treatment, while emphasizing your personal strengths and accessing your support system. We then develop a plan to resolve, accept, change, and/or cope with these concerns.

Therapy builds on your commitment to change and promotes self-confidence and interpersonal skills that reduce relapses even during extreme stress.

Changes are not always obvious; while crisis intervention strategies can bring dramatic relief, most changes are accomplished by altering the way you perceive a situation or the way that you behave.

Because it is always easier to stay the same than it is to be different, the treatment process also focuses on avoiding a return to past beliefs and behaviors.
